Injured spouse form 8379.. has anyone e-filed and received return in less than the 11 weeks quoted by the IRS?

Last year I filed the form after I originally filed (which I wish I would have this year). I am now being told by the IRS that it could take 11 weeks to get my refund. Has anyone had a better response time?

Update:

The lady I spoke wth today told me 11 weeks but that last year they were doing them in about half the time. Pretty much nothing specific..no promises. I filed on 2/1 so Im hoping it was early enough to get done quickly. Last year I filed the 8379 after the fact which is what I should have done this year. I had no idea it took so long.

I filed the past two years and it took us about 7-8 weeks to get our return deposited. It didn't take 11 weeks but it did still take a long time.

Last year I got mine in eight weeks but it was already delayed by two weeks because of that dumb rebate. My tax person didn't fill it in. I had to keep calling to get decent answers. Some reps don't want to tell you anything but some will tell you exactly when it went to the injured spouse area and everything.

Last year I heard people got theirs as early as four weeks. My friend says hers usually takes about 6 weeks. I filed on Jan 19th so I am hoping!

to help anwer your question i go through this every year. I had to file 8379 again this year. even though the only income was mine. last year i efiled my 8379 with my tax return and was told 11 wks. but i it came about in march first part of april. i efiled feb., 2 this yr. and was told by a rep. that could be lucky they have been moving along pretty quick with these forms, then anoher person told me not to call back until 11 wks. the first rep told me to call back around after march 1st and they may have a better idea. have u been told that. maybe we can stay in touchgood luck to both of us.
