How to put video from imovie to desktop?

Depends on what you want to do with them later.

I'll give you one option.

Export your project to QuickTime: Share > Export using QuickTime.

In the first box that appears, choose Desktop for Where (to save the movie).

You can use the default export settings or you can try all sorts of different setting options.

Then once it has been exported, it will appear as 'filename.mov' on your desktop.

If you highlight it, you can press the space bar and it will play in QuickTime on your desktop.

It will even be playable on a Windows PC if they have QT.

At this stage if you are sure that you have totally finished with your project in iMovie, you could delete it and all the events from iMovie.

You can always burn it to DVD from that desktop file at a later time.
