Christians, Why do you not follow Torah when the Bible clearly says you should?

How do you explain prophecies like Isaiah 2:2-3 where It says that in the last days the Torah will go forth from zion to the GENTILES? or zechariah 14? or Romans 7:22-25? or Matthew 5:17-20? Before you answer, please read this whole thing:

Define Torah: What is Torah? Torah is the first 5 books of the Bible, ALL the commandments of Yeshua(God)-From Gen-Rev-, the commandments Yeshua gave Moses to give to us, the utterances of God, the Word of God, the right-rulings of God(Read Psalm 119, David lists almost all of these words in talking about the Torah)

In English it is commenly translated "Law" but the actual Hebrew word is means Teaching and Instructions. In the old marriage covenant, Moses was the mediator, but in the new marraige covenant, Yeshua is the mediator. Same vows(Torah) new marraige.

Do you not realize that the "word" of God that is referded to by Yeshua and the Apostles is the Torah. There was no other word to them because the new testament was not considered Scripture then. Also, 1 JOhn 3:4 says that Sin is transgression of the Torah. If there is no Torah, then there is no Sin. And also, Hebrews 8:8 says not that God found fault with the Torah, but that he fond fault with "THEM" the people(sinners). plus even Paul encourages us not to walk in sin(Torahlessness) as he says countless times, such as in Romans 7:22-25"I myself truyly serve the Torah of Elohim." in Acts 21 Paul takes a Vow to show that He never spoke against the Torah. Matthew 5 Yeshua says He did not come to distroy the torah but to fulfill(pleroo-establish, uphold) the same word is used in Romans 15 when paul says he has "fully(pleero) preached the gospel of Messiah. that deos not mean Paul did away with the Gospel. Also, If there is no Torah, then there is no standered, then there is no Sin, and we dont need a Savior. The book of Hebrews is about Yeshua being the High Priest, If He is our High preist, then the Torah is still in Affect. Paul's entire message, is that the Torah does not SAVE(which is the issue in Acts 15) but Faith in Yeshua SAVES; but how do we show that faith? By keeping Yeshua(God's) Torah. Simple. The whole Bible message is exactly the Same.

Why would Yeshua(jesus) say in Matthew 23:1-3 "The scribes and Pharisees sit on the seat of Mosheh. Therefore, whatever they(shem Tob text says He-Moses) says to you to gaurd, gaurd and DO. But do not do according to their works(man-made traditions) for they say, and do not do."

That ladies and Gentlmen, is not my inturpritation, that is what the Manuscript Texts say.

Also, why does Paul say in Romans 8:7 that the flesh is at emnity with God BECAUSE it is NOT SUBJECT TO THE TORAH? Doesn't that mean that being subject to the Torah is to be of the Spirit? Read it yourself.

Titus 1:14 Addresses staying away from the Fables of MEN, not God. What does 1 John 3:22 say? "And whatever we ask we recieve from HIm, BECAUSE we GAURD HIS COMMANDMENTS(TORAH) and do what is pleasing in His sight." 1 John2:3-4 says "And by this we know we know HIm, if we KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS. The one who says 'I know Him' and does not gaurd His commands, is a LAIR, and the Truth(Psalms119:142) is not in Him."

Look at verse 7, John says "Beloved, I write you NO FRESH COMMAND, but an old command which you have had from the BEGINING. The old command is the WORD which you heard from the begining." What was their definition of the Beginning? was it Matthew? John? No...It was the Torah. Genesis is the beginning. Isaiah 48:3 tells us that Yeshua(jesus/god) declares the End FROM THE BEGINNING. Solomon himself, who God called the wisest man to ever live, said there is nothing new under the sun(Ecclesiates 1:9) Hosea 4:6 says "my people perish because of lack of Knowledge." Well, we usually stop there. But what does the same verse say? keep reading "BECAUSE they FORGOT MY TORAH." Now if John 1:1-14 tells us the the Word(Torah) was with God and is God, and that it became flesh, then doesn't that mean that if we do away with Torah, we are cutting Yeshua(jesus) in half? we're doing away with him, because He is the Torah.

The word iniquity, in the Greek and hebrew means "without mosaic law." you can look in the Concordance. BUT. I encourage people to let the Bible interperet the Bible. The Torah is the new testament dictionary. And I understand that we have sadly grown up being told that the "torah is done away with, that is for the jews." what have you. But, we really need to ask ourselves "is this correct? what does Scripture say? The word Jew is never mentioned in the Torah, it is not mentioned until 1 kings. There where 12 tribes, Abraham's decendants, that came up out of Eygpt, and Exodus 12 says "a MIXED MULTITUDE" came up with them. Meaning not just the physical decendants. Exodus 12:48-49 also says that there is ONE Torah for both the stranger and the native born.

Jeremiah 31:31 tells us what Hebrews 8 tells us- That the new covenant will be made with the house of Israel and Judah

We still follow the moral laws of the Pentateuch (Torah), but not the ceremonial laws (sabbath being the only ceremonial law among the 10 commandments).

In Col 2:16 - "Let no man therefore judge you in meat or in drink. or in respect of a festival day, or of the new moon, or of the sabbaths..."

Jesus reaffirmed the 10 Commandments in the NT (minus the Shabbat). So we still follow the moral laws of the Torah (written on our hearts). Jesus added two more. To love God with all your heart, mind and soul, and to love your neighbor as yourself.

Regarding John 1:14 - "the word made flesh" refers to Jesus himself - not just the Word, but the "word made flesh" and "dwelt among us."

Also, In the OT the covenant is circumcision. In the NT, it changes to baptism in Col 2:11. In the OT, there are "prefigurings", or "foreshadowings" of baptism so this is not unexpected.

In answer to Isaiah 2:2-3, let's look at some other prophecies: Malachi 1:11 - "For from the rising of the sun even to the going down, my name is great among the Gentiles, and in every place there is sacrifice, and there is offered to my name a clean oblation: for my name is great among the Gentiles, says the Lord of hosts.

This sacrifice is not the animal sacrifice of the Levitical priesthood, which ended with Christ's crucifixion. It is the offering of bread and wine in the similitude of Melchisedech (Gen 14:18) with Jesus as the high priest.

The ark of the covenant held the manna, the rod of Aaron (indicating he was the high priest), and the tablets (word of God).

Mary, like the ark, carried Jesus who is the bread of life (manna), he is the high priest, and he is the Word of God made flesh (tablets).

Jesus IS a descendant of the House of Judah.

YOU NEED TO BE AWARE OF THE PROPHECY OF THE COMING "NEW TESTAMENT":

Why did Jesus change to a New Testament - it was a prophecy in Jeremiah 31:31-34 - God found fault with those who followed the OT:

    Hebrews 8:

6 But now he has obtained a better ministry, by how much also he is a mediator of a better testament, which is established on better promises.

7 For if that former had been faultless, there should not indeed a place have been sought for a second.

8 For finding fault with them, he says: (Jer 31:31-34) Behold, the days shall come, saith the Lord: and I will perfect unto the house of Israel, and unto the house of Judah, a new testament:

9 Not according to the testament which I made to their fathers, on the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt: because they continued not in my testament: and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.

10 For this is the testament which I will make to the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord: I will give my laws into their mind, and in their heart will I write them: and I will be their God, and they shall be my people:

13 Now in saying a new, he has made the former old. And that which decays and grows old, is near its end.

    Hope this information helps...

    Torah For Christians

To understand "if God came down as human form, how could He be running the world?", you need to understand the Holy Trinity. Muslims believe that Christians and themselves believe in the same God, but when we discern the characteristics of God b/w the Bible and Quran, they are quite different. Which is why Christians come to the conclusion that we do not believe in the same God. Its not just a matter of name, but also doctrine behind our religions. But above doctrine is our relationship with God. At the end of the day, its not about religion, but its about having a one on one relationship with God, who has invited us through His son, Jesus Christ. If you seek Him, you will find the truth, and you will find Him. God bless.

You lost me at "Please read this whole thing". It's SO BORING! This is why I follow J.R. "Bob" Dobbs, by gummit! No boring scriptures or pulpy masses of wet text, dripping with boredom. I mean, look at that huge gobstopper-load! It absolutely just sucks the slack right off the page.

With "Bob" you can have it all! "Bob" lets you have cleavage on BOTH sides of your torso. He'll even let you keep almost all of your soul and most of your money.

You always know that when you see an R&S question that has at least one paragraph that starts with "Do you not realize" that you're in for a long, hard, dry ride with no stops for beer or hookers.

no the bible does not say we are to follow the torah

Rom 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

no one is justified before god by keeping the torah

Rom 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Rom 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

we are justified by the grace of god not be the torah law

Gal 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

justified by the faith in jesus not by the torah

Gal 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
