What did cattle drovers use for rain shelter on the range in the 1800's?

When sleeping out on the range, what did they use to keep themselves and their gear dry?

Update:

I have indeed slept outside on rainy nights but not in the 1800's.

Ponchos and ten-gallon hats. Haven't you ever slept in a pup tent?

I don't think they had much cover at all, they used heavy duty 'rain coats' which i think was made of

leather hide and drew it over themselves with the opening for their heads, like a 'poncho' and they may have used leather hides to rig up between tree branches. Other then this, they had no cover and if the rain was heavy enough which it often was they were literally soaked! I would imagine a lot of them to have been dangerously ill in those days, it was a very hard life being a 'drover'
