Sobbing now, computer issues, no sound...?
see previous question for more info... but
PC running Vista, flooded with viruses in admin account, f-ed beyond belief in admin account. Thought all was well in alternate account, but just realized I have no sound. Not even with headphones - as if that would have helped.
If anyone could give me some kind of an idea as to what's going on that'd be great.

You need the audio driver for your computer. Go to your PC manufacturer's website, and look in their drivers section. Choose your specific computer model and look for the audio driver (it will work on all accounts).
As for the viruses, download and install Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and fully scan your hard drive.

I had trouble with the sound on mine. Turns out everytime I allowed an app to run on Facebook, my speakers would quit working! I went back to a date that I KNEW the sound was ok, and did a system restore. VOILA!!! Speakers worked fine. It happened 3 or 4 times before I figured out what to do. Needless to say, I DO NOT allow any apps on FB, or even play any of the games. I use it strictly for staying in touch with family and friends. Hope this helps.
