can u use a linksys adapter with a netgear router?

have a pc with an older adapter will it work?

    Yes. Just make sure that the netgear router transmits in a form that the older adapter can understand. For example, you may have to specify that it will transmit in 802.11b even though it is capable of 11g or 11n. Also, make sure that the encryption key that you use is one that the adapter can also use, such as WEP-64, and not one of the newer ones.
