I feel uptight and tense/on edge all of the time. It is causing a lot of fights in my relationship with my?
husband. He wants me to be able to relax and play around, but i cant seem to. The only way that i can really relax is drinking, but i think that its a dangerous path to drink so that i can be relaxed and easygoing. I find myself getting irritated and being short with those around me without realizing it, and my husband and i have been fighting a lot more lately, how can i relax so that i can be fun to be around and relaxed and easygoing? I mean, its getting really bad, to where its hard to have one day where we dont get in a fight over something really stupid and inconsequental.

Try and seek out the cause of your feelings of tension, and then find a method to ease those feelings.
You could try breathing exercises, a calming CD, yoga, meditation, prayer (if you're religious), exercise, or a variety of other things. Focus on getting rid of the tension, bring in calm, and then you'll be able to free yourself to be more easygoing.
Personally, I wouldn't go the prescription route. Some medications can be addicting, and there's otherways to get rid of tension rather than drugs. You don't want to trade tension for addiction, because then you'll be tense if you don't continue to feed your addiction.

Is it possible to get away together for a few days? I mean really get away. It may not be a lot of fun, but it might help you discover the source of your stress and some good solutions?? (You are far from alone on this one.)
