What colors would go well in this room?
I recently painted my bedroom a dark purple color, pretty much exactly like the number 1 swath of the "violets" in this color wheel: http://www.malanenewman.com/images/colorwheel_brow...
The trim in the room is white, and the floors are a medium colored hardwood. What colors would go well for bedding, curtains, or a rug?? The only colors I don't want to use are light pinks and purples. The room can't be too out-rightly girly. Haha. Thanks in advance.

To play it safe, use colors from the #1 around the color wheel. The yellow column would be a nice accent with greens as your secondary color. Think of an iris or hyacinth both having green foliage but stay in the same value as your violet so they harmonize.

I have one accent wall in my bedroom a dark purple. I used a deep red for my bedspread and curtains. I added dark purple throw pillows and sheets to the bed. It sounds like ALOT, but they go really well together. I also have white trim, and brown floors. :)

I have always liked greens and purples together.
Also, yellow and purple are complementary colors on the color wheel.
I would use a little yellow and blue, but mostly green.
