Renault clio rear washer broken?
Hi all! I have a 1.4 W reg Renault Clio Alize. The rear washer doesn't seem to work... is it easy to fix? If not is it expensive?
Yes I can definately hear the motor whirring when I press it and there's water in the reservoir (there isn't a seperate reservoir for the rear washer is there?). I can#t see piping etc as it all seems to be well hidden

continuing on from the previous answer.. if you can hear the motor whirring away and so its not a fuse that's gone, it may be blocked and you can free this with a pin or perhaps the hose may have come away from the washer jet which will need pushing back on.. or replacing.. the jets are really quite cheap, even cheaper from a salvage yard..!!

it probably is blocked at the jet, this is the part that actually squirts out the water, I cant see it being your pump beacuse the pump also works the front washers also, and I take it that these are working,,
if it is the pump then for what it is, it is quite a tricky little job, so, lets hope that you only have a blockage.
maybe you can get a pin and try to dislodge whatever as someone operates washers.

1st of all is it making a noise when you press to use it, if yes then its probably a blocked washer jet just use a small needle to poke in the jet. if its not making a noise then the motors gone, ebay around £20 to £30 and probably a £20 job for garage to fit but not too hard to do with basic tools. Also check the fuse.

Is there water in the washer bottle?
You mean Wash, rather than Wipe?
Does the pump make a noise when you activate wash?
Checked the fuse?

hi;if your front washers are working then it;s not the washer/motor. if there is dampness in the boot of the car then the tube that goes to washers is off inside the tailgate.if it is off; it only needs to be pushed back on. that is a problem i had withmy car.
