What is the the name of the Asian sweet which is similar to a burfi?
It looks and tastes quite the same as a burfi but it seems to have very thin layers of glaze throughout it.
The only way I can describe the glaze is like an edible fibreglass! Although it's a very enjoyable edible fibreglass!
thanks dude but it's not banh bo. It comes in a flat tablet form and can be many flavours. Most memorable one I've had was peanut tasting.
Thanks again, it's definitely not the dragon beard candy that is mentioned although the fibre glass glaze I mentioned is very very similair to candyfloss now I think about it.
Infact it's like a burfi with thin layers of candy floss throught it, yes that's a good description! much better than fibreglass glaze!
Yes it looks like it might be soan papdi. Thanks a lot!

Hi: Could it possibly be Dragon Beard candy? It is a pulled candy and makes a fluffy sweet candy when done. You have to be careful chewing it, cause it can make your teeth glued together! Here is a site where you can see it made:
Source(s): Me - bought it for my son during the Moon Festival in Montreal many years ago - except it didn't have the brown sugar in it, just rolled up.
