If hell is where bad people go to be tortured and burned, then...?

why does the bible say in Acts 2 :25-27 kjv, concerning Jesus Christ:

25 For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face...

27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in HELL, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

    i don't think you understand those verses.

    hell is a place for those who reject God.

    David was prophecying and that was referring to Jesus, he went to hell to destroy Satan and his works for you so you won't have to go there that is what salvation is all about

    Jesus rose again and broke through all of the satanic influences
