how do you break the habit of using the snooze?
i hit it 4 or 5 times every morning. I hear the alarm and myself tells me that I need more sleep. I don't know how to make it so I hear my alarm and can sit up, stretch, and get out of bed. how can i accomplish this? when I'm half asleep, I have a different mindset. there will be no way I can remember that I actually want to do this. and if i do remember, I'm not gonna care.
I've tried putting my alarm clock out of reach so i have to get up but i'll hit that snooze and get back into bed

Put a mousetrap on the snooze button.
You'll hit it once, and only once, I guarantee it.

I feel your pain. I do the same thing. It is just a bad habit. You may be setting your alarm too early and because of that, you know there is that built-in cushion of time. Set it later to where you know that you have to get up when it goes off or you're gonna be late. You also need to get in bed earlier because it sounds like you are not getting enough rest. I HATE ALARM CLOCKS! I'd rather be awakened softly and gradually.
Maybe it would be best to turn your light on when the alarm goes off. Go ahead and snooze one round, then by the time it goes of the second time, you will be more adjusted to the light and be waking up a little bit more. It takes strong discipline and that is something that is hard to have when you are tired and sleepy, trust me... I know.
If you have someone to help you get up, that would be good too. Have a friend give you a wake up call or have someone you live with help wake you up.
Good luck. ZZZZzzzzzzzzzz.

wow.
you need to set up multiple alarm clocks all over your room.
Exercise more often. Waking up for your daily routine has become boring and tiring.
You need something New ! a New Incentive to Wake up !
So why not get a girlfriend, or enroll for a very expensive gym membership which you will regret not going for and getting most bang for your buck if you don't wake u every morning to hit the gym. Or, buy new cereal, or get a needy dog.
Okay, if all this sounds too scary for you right now, just gather enough WILL POWER every single morning and sit on your bed.
You dont have to wake up. But just dont fall back into bed. Sit upright. Even if its with your eyes closed. within a couple of minutes you will be SuperFresh!
I hope this helps
And yeah, please try the multiple alarm clocks ( it might get you irritated very early in the morning, so id highly recommend the sitting on your bed with your eyes closed)
Best,
R

are you fairly handy? try this hack of an alarm clock that forces you to do a math problem before you can silence it: http://hackaday.com/2008/02/18/do-math-to-turn-off...
alternately, try two different alarms set 1 minute apart on different sides of your room. by the time you get back into bed after hitting snooze on the first one, the second will be ringing and hopefully that will give your brain enough time to convince you to stay up.
as a last resort... try going to bed 1hr earlier for a week. Boring I know, but as a serial snooze button addict I find that it's slightly easier to get myself up on the first try when i've had a solid 8hrs.

psychology says the repercussions from being late will cause u to correct urself till u get a more desirable result, however getting more sleep might reinforce this behaviour to press snooze
soooooo, sorry mate get more sleep, get up and stay up. Unless u have some1 to keep u up, then theres ur answer.
i have a shower as soon as i wake up before school, knowing a nice warm shower is waiting gets me up, find what will get u outta bed.
mayb get someone who wakes early to get coffee ready, mayb then u'll want to get up and IT will keep u up.
dnt do something thats pisses u off more though, remember u need to reinforce the behaviour of getting up
anyway gd luk

well... you could have multiple alarm clocks just randomly put around your room each set to go off one minute after another... definitely works for me and i find it quite annoying... yet it gets me up.

Go to bed earlier. You're not getting enough sleep!
