Why do so many people ask such stupid questions? And use such poor spelling and grammar?
Don't they notice the spell checker that pops up on the side? Does it bother anyone else? Does it bother you for people to use IM abbreviations? It bothers me a lot.

Ah, yes: The Great Question.
You know the answer already. Everyone knows it. The answer is the worst thing in the world.
Since I am studying to be an English teacher, perhaps I can instill in my students at least some respect for the English language. That's possible, isn't it? Isn't it!?

While I suspect laziness is the true cause, the answer may also be in your question.... Such folks are STUPID...
And yes, as a former teacher of "freshman English" at the college level, I find it appalling. (The stupid questions I can forgive as people may truly be stupid, but folks not using the spell check drives me mad. Although I do note that sometimes "spell check" is stupid as well. For example, it always points to "one's" as an error, even if one's spelling / use of the word is correct. In fact, it just told me that again. And spell check is wrong again, as I have used the word correctly, and it is spelled correctly in that sentence.)

To answer the question, people are lazy. This generation has quickly reduced the English Language down to "texting," ifn u notice, LOL. In my opinion, texting is one of the most damaging forms of rendering our language obsolete in terms of correct spelling, diction and grammar. It is all due to the pace of life, getting by with as little as possible effort, being LAZY, wanting everything NOW! It bothers me a great deal, and it is one of the main reasons why I am here. You can see the kids struggling with just constructing proper sentences. Many of them don't even know how to write. Before you know it, English will disappear, and be replaced by pictures and hand signing. It's a pity that a language that gave us Shakespeare, Updike, Thoreau and thousands of others is being butchered and chopped up into so much garbage. All we can do, is attempt to salvage the language before it is lost to stupidity and laziness.

I know right?! Whenever I ask a question, I always do my best to use perfect grammar and spelling. It makes it harder to answer questions when people abbreviate and use grammar/vocabulary poorly.
