does it take $45 dollars to count a person?

does the $15 billion they want to spend on the census seem high,does it really cost about $45 to count one person?

    It should only be like 80 cents per person. for the paper. the ink and the shipping. This country really has to learn better ways

    You want to pay the workers collecting the data? Not only their salary, but their VERY EXPENSIVE health care. Then there are the people who write the programs to compile the information, the people who ENTER the data, the people who INTERPRET the data, the people who PRINT the reports, the people who DISTRIBUTE the reports, etc.

  • I am going to add about 25 extra White, English-speaking people to my household, that should bring the price down somewhat.

    Considering they are paying an estimated $200,000-$300,000 for each new $60,000 job they create, er ah, I mean, saved, that's a bargain.
