What schooling steps should I take to become a nurse practitioner?

I am interested in becoming a nurse practitioner and I was wondering what kind of schooling is required.

You need to get your BSN in nursing(4 years)and then at least 2 years of experience in acute care nursing.Then you have to complete an NP Masters program(2 years).
