Egypt: Do you feel there is a near war in the middle east? why? Why not?

Update:

@wolfi..good morning,, I am not talking about Egypt at all,,as I do believe, nothing is going to happen here,, I mean Gulf/Iran..Israel/Lebanon....

I see that Mr Hassan Allah is preparing and is giving excuses to Israel to attack Lebanon ( the famous big mouth...), the same with Iran,,,even I start to believe they are doing that on purpose..(i think they are not idiots)

It’s a fact there is going to be a war in the Middle East soon and tensions are mounting, and a lot of little children are going to get hurt, the question is where is Egypt going to stand, with us or with the Arabs, because the next war in the Middle East will involve Egypt, it will be devastating for us, but we’ll always have the US to help us after the devastation, the dilemma for Egypt will be: if they support the Arabs (because they will devastated more then we will) the war will hit Egypt, and they will not be able to rely on help from the US, and if they side with us there will be a revelation in Egypt, it will be a decisive moment for Egypt that I could say.

    2003 the war on Iraq

    2006 war on Lebanon

    2008 war on Gaza

I can't tell it's sure coming, but for the war company [israel] it's time for the business. They can't live without wars, the main reason of the creation of israel in the (Middle) East.

I'm not fan of Hassan Nassrallah, but I believe yes Hezballah has some weapons to cause very painful destruction inside israel. It's not easy to reach the objective accurately, but it's sure can reach israel in depth. On the other side israel want very much instability in Lebanon, they can't stand that Lebanon side is cool.

Nobody can expect what kind of war or weapons exactly will be used this time. It's not sure if it'llbe or not, but all signs shows that israel and Iran is preparing for war and I expect israel will start as usual and may be it wont be so far from the Arab league conference. usually israel prefer the wars to start before the Arab gatherings and for many other military and political reasons they prefer certain dates for wars unless it's war against Palestinian or Lebanese civilians.

The country that Russia will support will not be involved in this war because israel knows the Russian surprises in wars are nightmares and they don't like to face it. As for Iran and israel, both have enough information about each other. Iran president is almost the same mentality of israel and the Americans prefer to keep their soldiers in the area unharmed, so israel will make the dirty business all the time ... the question is who will cover costs this time !

I think you will agree with me on that this area of the world is to complex and very difficult to predict what's gonna happen . I mean every one can say what is more or less likely to happen according to what we see but still in this area of the world every thing is possible .

On these basis I think a real war in the area is not likely to happen in the near future but the possibility of small ( guerrilla or behind curtain ) operations is very strong.

Now as for Mr Nasrallah or Iran we might disagree on that one I may have no love for Iran but I certainly have a very deep respect and admiration , both of sheikh Nsarallah and Iran use whatever Cards they have to ensure their own interists which is mainly for both - although not on the same scale - is to prove that they are affective and an important part of the game in oth lebanon or the middle east in general respectvly and they did.

Nasrallah proved that hizbuallah is a very important part- if not the most important part - of the puzzel in lebanon politics and nothing can happen without them being included.

As for Iran they are playing every one ( U.S , UN, Europe and at laaast Arabs and gettinga way with what they want including half Iraq ,Syria and lebanon .

    Peace be with you, Zoser,

I am taking a neutral side. First, because saying "Yes, a war would happen!" and all that stuff is very pessimistic to every Egyptian citizen, and perhaps to every Arab, or Muslim citizen. Second, because I think we should be optimistic about our country. We can stop this war from happening, we can, I am sure. How? You may ask. I think if we all start الاتقان و الاحسان في العمل (I do not know how to say that in English"it is a bit insipid, as you know"). With our knowledge and studies of history, science, languages, etc. We can do it! If it happens and we lost, it is okay, we will have the ارادة to defeat the conqueror. (Revise Egyptian history), before all that, EACH person has to change from his/her self. Yes, if everyone changes, a tremendous change in society could be recognized. One of the few tips are to cut down on TV a little (unless watching something beneficial), reading a little everyday, mass awareness (of food, cleanliness, etc.), enjoying what we are doing (even if you are sweeping the floor of your house, the result would be CLEAN), all those little things would definitely count!!!! Right? :).

    To sum it all up,

كم من فئة قليلة غلبت فئة كثيرة باذن الله!!!!

    Lets all improve ourselves

    لنرقي بانفسنا و أمتنا

There will definitely be a war in the middle east. But not in the near future -unless it's another aggression - I think all parties are weighing their choices and a war is not guaranteed for any of them right know ; Israel knows that Iran can retaliate and Iran knows that to attack Israel means war with the U.S which they can't handle right now . Hezbollah has a lot of domestic trouble in Lebanon and -unlike Israel - they won't gain support if the started another war without coordinating with other groups in the country.

As for Syria - Al Assad - would leave Golan occupied for another 40 years rather than risk his power in a war without support _ either for from Arab countries or from Iran -.

    For Egypt ,,,,,,,,,,,,00000000 big silence

i dont think there would be a war in the near future in the middle east region for many reasons

first reason is the stability of the ruling systems in the area in the big countries, like Egypt, KSA.

these systems are known to support the American Agenda in the region, and as long as these systems are stable, the American-Israeli Agenda is stable, and no need for war.

there could be some rebels in the region, but not wars, at least between Arabs and Israel.

i think the Arabic Gulf area would witness a war between Iran and the Arabian states there.

Well they keep on saying Lebanon will have war with Israel this summer, but I doubt that and hope not. When I was in Egypt during the 2006 Lebanon-Israel war I used to have nightmares and couldn't sleep because of my fear. So many problems are happening now they say that Al-Queida is planning another attack on the U.S in the next 3 to 6 months. Anyway I hope for world peace.

I dunno but i think there will be and i believe the Gulf area would be engulfed in it since america would use it's military base alongside israel to strike iran and iran would have to strike back at the military bases, so i believe it would be a 3rd gulf war. Besides i don't think Mubarak is brave or has the power to engage in a new war and he doesn't want to ruin his policy with america. So what i think he would do is send forces to fight alongside america and that would be **** wala mo2a5za fel kelma 5ara m7anny b 5ara!! bas ana bsara7a 3ayez a7areb israel emta ba2a Allaho a3lam kol wa2t w loh adaan.

Well Good morning to you Zoser, I understand what you are talking about. I know Hassan NasrAllah is trying his best to cause as much ruckus and scenery in the area for his own personal gain and it would lead to yet another "small time war" but the one to really fear and anticipate highly is a new gulf war, because by the looks of it iran will not go back on the step it took and america doesn't want any kind of threat to it's foreign policy represented in israel soyeah if america decides on taking a move the first one to take the pounding would be the gulf area =S

  • Wars have been happening in the middle east since the start of time due to the different reasons. It is inevitable that new warS will take place there. It's not a stable place.

    There is a war already!

If you mean a war that we are involved in, I think that dependent on what's our status, If we are like we are now (and you know what I mean) then no, If we are heading for a renaissance then yes, we will face the dangers of hitting the uprising, something like had happened before.

    in short

    No

because many countries are investing in the gulf including the US

    money talks ............

    the economy is controlling politics

which had had its negative side years ago for example Hallyburton`s oil mining co. main share holders led a war on iraq for oil

now it has its positive side as the US cant lead another war in the present economy conditions and harm its own benefits in the gulf along with others
