Attire for off broadway WICKED?

I am going to see Wicked tonight here in Ohio, I am torn b/t wearing a black dress or black drees pants and a semi-nice top... I was just looking for opinions, I wasn't sure if it was considered a "black-tie affair" since it was off broadway... Which sounds like the safer bet? I don't want to be under dressed but i also don't want to be over dressed....

    Either one would work, pants may keep you a bit warmer.

    personally, i think girls dont look good in dress pants.

    a little black dress would fit any formal occasion
