The reaction of vanadium(II) oxide with iron(III) oxide results in the formation of vanadium(v) oxide and iron(II) oxide. write the balanced equation.

    vanadium (II) -> vanadium (v) + 3 electrons

    ( 1 electron + Iron(III) -> Iron (II) ) x 3

    so

    3 electrons + 3 Iron (III) -> 3 Iron (II)

    V+2 + 3 Fe+3 -> V+5 + 3 Fe +2

    2VO + 3Fe2O3 -> V2O5 + 6FeO
