i bought a hp windows 7 computer and how do i make my dell printer to hook up and work?

Dell support for printer drivers is going to be tough until Windows 7 is Offically released.

Did you try using the Vista 64-bit Drivers for the 964 Printer?

There is no real difference between dell and hp. Both are great computers. For the viruses, no matter what you will have virus's. Many virus's enter computers from unknown websites. As long as you dont go on any websites that say it might have malicious hardware on it, you will be fine. As for getting virus's from being connected to a wireless network, as long as it is a secure network (like the wifi network for your school, etc) it will be fine. For getting virus's through your professors notes, i do not think you will get any virus's. If your professor typed the notes himself then there should be no problem. Anti-virus softwares will tell you if what you are opening may have a virus in it. As long as you watch what you open and pay attention to alerts, your computer will be fine. As for choosing which computer, you can choose which ever one you think suits your needs. Dells inspiron is a very nice computer, but you should get which ever laptop you feel suits you. Neither laptop is more protective then the other against virus's. Hope this helped. =)

If you couldn't find driver on Dell site easy, you could try a program I use. It automatically updates your drivers, saves me a lot of time and frustration. Take a look here for those drivers.

I would try going to this site and downloading the driver download and patch upgrade download. It's for vista, but there are no windows 7 drivers and most vista would work for windows 7. http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driversl...
