wise to jump out FLAME SENSOR!?

GOODMAN GAS FURNACEflame sensor is bad ,have anybody ever jumped one out!

    You cannot jump out the flame sensor. It rectifies AC voltage to DC when there is a flame present. The control board recognizes the DC current flow and knows that a flame must be present in order for that to occur. If the control board does not sense the DC current within less than one second, the board de-energizes the gas valve. This is a safety feature that is meant to protect you and your home. You can try cleaning the flame sensor rod with some steel wool or a scotch brite pad. That may or may not resolve your problem. Be very careful not to damage the porcelin insulation in the process.

    Extremely unsafe! Besides it probably wouldn't work anyway. The flame sensor rod becomes an anode when the pilot is burning. The pilot flame itself rectifies AC voltage into DC voltage, which proves to the board that the pilot is burning, and it's ok to open the main gas valve.

    I have personally seen a gas explosion blow a house right off its foundation. Get a serviceman over there. Not a handyman, either.
