Mr. Messenger; The family of Jesus is the family of God. They are three great groups. one of them are here around you. One is up in glory. and one are not yet born but are coming. The Lord Jesus, the Head of the family knows them all one by one, even those who are not yet born. If you are blessed of God, you will be one of them. Jesus Christ is the door to His family. No one can ever enter into His family unless He opens the door for him..

They didn't have family names in his culture/time.

You were known as the son of someone, or as being from a certain place. E.G., Jesus of Nazareth, Jesus bin Joseph.

The concept of the family name had not yet arisen in western culture at the time of Jesus.

Jesus would have been known as Yshua bar Ysef, or as closely latinized as possible, Joshua, son of Joseph.
