I interpret it as an example of hippies pseudo intellectualism
But if it ticks Fireball off. it must have some redeeming qualities.

okay well, go ahead and hate your neighbor, go ahead an cheat a friend...is infering that you are hurting other people but in the name of heaven meaning there is a reason for it that is good. For example you yell at your kids..well theres a good reason for that, no?
There wont be any trumpets blowing come to judgement day....judgement day is when you die, the judgement of your life. So basically It's nothing special when you die, and depending on the context One Tin Soldier riding away could refer to several things.

This is from an old song that is protesting war and how those who promote war can justify it to themselves if they are convinced they are doing it in the name of God. Then they are saying that there will be no glory (trumpets) after the war for the little toy soldier who feels he has the victory.
Who really wins with war?
