Brother HL-2140 laser printer problem.?
I'm printing and when it's finished, I see that on the edge of the paper, The long side, there are 7-8... smudges on it. It's almost like dots. I just got it too. Is it the toner that I'm experiencing the problem with? Or is it the printer? Solid printer but the dots.... Not pretty. The dots are where there should be white. The size of the dots or as big as the holes that the spiral binding on spiral notebooks goes through. Can it be fixed or should I exchange it?

You could try cleaning the printer's paper path.
Using a damp, not wet paper towel and/or a vacuum will get much of the toner out that has been deposited in the paper path.
Take out the toner and maybe also the fuser and transfer roller if you can and clean out the printer.

You certainly should take the printer to the dealer from where you purchased it. A new laser printer should not make such a mess as what you are experencing. I have a monochrome and a color laser and neither of them does this.
