So you love Jesus...?
So I found this gem today?
"Police have registered a case against the publisher and seized around 123 books carrying an "objectionable picture" of Jesus Christ holding a cigarette in one hand and a beer can on the other which has sparked a controversy triggering condemnations from various quarters. (Link w/ photo below). The local archbishop has condemned the publisher and some stupid people (christians I assume have vandalized things)."
I have had many Muslims (friends, acquaintances and, people trying to dawah me) tell me that they as Muslims love Jesus more than anyone, Christians included. If so, where are the fatwahs against this publisher? When are we going to see Muslims out protesting this horrible depiction of this dear "prophet" some Muslims claim to love more truly than everyone else? Where is the outrage Muslim world...Isnt this an insult to you also?
I smells a whole lot of hypocrisy here!
Scruffy, of course this professed love of Jesus is a humongous insult to Christians but please, I am not going to argue about the nature of God given the quality of the man these people choose to follow. The hypocrisy I do however love point out.
New name for Muslims..Hypocrites-Are-Us... you make my point for me.
You tire me, but hate, I dont hate anyone. Why would you be worth the effort of hating anyway?

Muslims say they love Jesus, but the Isa that they claim to love never was. They deny that Jesus was ever crucified or rose from the dead, and by doing so they dishonor Jesus and everything that he came to Earth for. Muslims don't understand how deep an insult this is to christians, who turn the other cheek as we were taught by jesus. Meanwhile the whole Muslim world goes bananas and starts killing people if someone makes a cartoon that's attributed to be Muhammad.

yes, i do love Jesus and i do find it offensive.
but wait .. i dont get the point here ..
you want us to protest on behalf of the "christians" too? .. i bet so many so-called-christians will tell you "but hey, its funny" and not do a thing about it. there are many cartoons and stuff where they potray Jesus and make jokes, why doesnt any one of the christians speak about it?
ofcourse we condenm them, but then wont the "christians" go out on a fit and say "he is ours and we dont have a problem, then why do u?" ... think about it ...
it seems like muslims are always a hot topic .. its a problem when we do something and its a problem when we dont do too .. and not only that ... its even a problem when we are somewhere in the middle O_O

We don't love any prophet ''more'' we love and respect them equally. So you criticize when some Muslims do object to images but then complain when some don't? There is no winning with people like you...
Jesus (pbuh) is a widely used image, people worship him and we have no right to tell people they cannot have an image of Jesus (pbuh) pray to it etc there are countless, countless images of Jesus (pbuh) in a derogatory fashion someone could make an occupation about doing nothing else but logging them all day. Do they upset us? Yes. Does an image of Muhammad (pbuh) upset us? Yes. Are we all responsible for every image of Jesus when others pray to and worship him? No...Its not that I dont find it offensive I do but the onus is not on us its on the image maker, and its not for you to tell me what does and does not ourage me.
No one is trying to make ''dawah'' on you, nice incline on the backhanded bigorty.

Muslims dont love jesus they just act like they do. All they do is talk bad about him.
What muslims never see is the logic of what they say.
If Jesus was a prophet (the same as how you say mohammed is a prophet) then why do you call the bible corrupt and doesnt make sense etc etc? if it is corrupt then you do not believe a word that Jesus says therefore you dont care for Jesus.
Why do you always say you believe in one God and Mohammed was his prophet...there were other prophets and much better than Mohammed so why must you always say mohammed....

It's my understanding that Islam does not allow any depictions of any of the prophets so they should be just as upset over this as they were when inappropriate pix of Muhammed were published. I do not condone any violent reaction to this as was done regarding Muhammed, but it does show they are not as concerned. They have the audacity to say they love Jesus more than Christians do, hahahaha what a laugh, they won't even admit He is the blessed Son of God. They would rather follow the teachings of Muhammed that include war and violence instead of following the teachings of Christ which is love for one another, tolerance, the love God has for us instead of hell fire and brimstone.

Actually such events usually do induce responses (sometimes in the form of fatwas) from the muslim world, its that you never hear them, the voice of the Christians are always overheard in these cases
On the otherhand we also observe the response of others in these situations, if it is Jesus (as) then there are condemnations, their are REAL reactions from many groups and REAL actions are taken against these people
When someone says something offensive to muslims what happens? the good ol freedom of speech argument!

Is it really worth making an incredible fuss over something as tiny as this? I mean, I, for one, haven't heard of it until now.
Also, how do you know that many of the people criticizing the picture aren't Muslim themselves?
Whether it's true or not, Jesus is one of the prophets of Islam, and Muslims really do love him at least as truly (if not moreso) as Christians do.

I don't know where YOU live but MANY masjids protested against the billboard of Mary in NZ.
There ARE Muslims protesting against other things but Muhammad pbuh but you dont see them on TV because they protest peacefully and it isnt too interesting for the news so they prefer to promote radical Muslims who burn things... not real Muslims ;)
