What to do with all of our pictures now that we're divorced?
I have a 17 month old son, so I'm saving our wedding album for him. But I have a ton of pics from our marriage and baby photos on my computer. It would take too long to go through and delete each one, and probably would be to painful. Should I download them to an external hard drive and than take off my computer? Would it be strange to leave these on my computer? I still want to have all the pics of my son.
Ms Snow... it's pics that show my son that he was created in love. Think a little larger. I'm not offering him a ring from a failed marriage.

Save them all. If you hae an external hard drive the move them over to make space for something new but do not delete them. It's painful now to see our former spouse int he photos but as time go on and you meet someone else then you would be able to tolerate it more.

Yes, I think downloading them to any sort of storage device would be appropriate. As far as showing them to him as if he's some sort of memory, that's really a tricky thing. If he's been a good father, sure, then your son may want to have some or all of the pictures. If he has not, then yeah it's possible your may be uninterested. In any event to save the pictures for him to peruse later is a great idea and gives you the opportunity to take them off your hard drive so your ex husband isn't such a constant reminder of whatever happened in your marriage.

Back up the pictures to either an external drive or to DVD and put them away. Then you can go through the pictures and delete the ones you don't want. Someday your son may want to know about his dad and you will at least have the pictures to show him.

It's your choice what you want to do with the pics. You could save them on a flash drive or a cd-rom anything you want really. Anything that you feel comfortable doing.

Download them to a memory card. Even if you don't want them someday your son will appreciate seeing his mom and dad during the good days.

I had to do this too..I downloaded a copy of all pictures of my ex, my ex and my little girl and also my little girl to a file holder.. then boxed it away with the normal pics of my ex.
I have the pics of my little one still on my pc, and he is crop out of others.
Hope that helps

maybe for your own sake downloading them to a drive or dvd would be best no need to delete them if you dont want to

Not to be rude, but I doubt your son will want your wedding album from his parents' failed marriage.
