A couple of questions for ladies who's babies were transverse?

My sister is 30 weeks pregnant and has been told that her baby is transverse.

For those who have had a transverse baby:

*Did your baby move naturally/with assistance? If so, at what point did he move?

*If the baby didn't move, how many weeks were you when you had a c-section?

*Has anyone experienced going in to labour before their elected c-section date? What happened?

My second baby flipped several times between 33 and 39 weeks. On every midwife appointment, I was told that baby was breech and I'd need a scan to check and discuss turning baby and/or c section and every time I'd get to hospital knowing that she'd flipped back. She finally settled head down at 39 weeks. Anyway, I know you asked about transverse babies, I just wanted to make the point that baby has loads of time to move and more than likely will :-D

I was transverse with my third. I went into the hospital at about 36 weeks to have her "flipped", which can induce labor. She flipped easily and then flipped right back before I even left the hospital. We decided again trying to flip her again since she could obviously flip back. I went a week and a half past my due date and she did eventually flip on her own. There was no need for a c-section in my case. Good luck!

My sister's wasn't transverse, but was fully breech at about 34 weeks. By 36 weeks he'd decided to turn head down, and there he stayed. So they still have plenty of time for LO to turn.

My aunt's baby was transverse, but despite attempts to move him, she had a c-section at 41 weeks ( think). He's still a stubborn little whatsit to this day, lol.
