Figure Skating spinner (need people that know about ice skating)?

There is this spinner that I have been looking at. I am a figure skater and I would like a way to practice my spins off the ice and I have been looking at the gold spinner thing. Is it hard? do u fall a lot with it. I want it to feel kinda like a spin. and i have heard its really good..... what do u think... should i get it?

thanks

I think it is worthwhile. We used to have twister classes at my rink and it definitely made us all better skaters. You can also practice jumps on them, which I'm sure there are videos online about. When you do use it though, make sure you use it on a hard floor, not carpet, and wear good tennis shoes. You will fall, but it's okay. Do some balance exercises every time before you get on. practice just standing on one foot on the floor and on the twister and then closing your eyes. They do feel much different than actually spinning on the ice but it truly improves your skating. :)

Definitely. It's great for helping you improve your spins. However, spinning on it is feels a lot different than on the ice, so you'll have to spend some time getting used to it. Other than that, it's really nice.
