How would a criminal profiler react to being told a suspected serial killer is a Wikipedia admin?

Would they be surprised or not? Would they adjust their theory in any significant way?

I think the profiler would be very surprised - most serial killers are far more ethical, well-mannered, considerate, and self-respecting than the typical Wikipedia admin. Admittedly, that's not saying much... Of course, it really depends on what sort of victims the killer was targeting. If the victims are mostly porn stars or members of obscure emo bands, then maybe not so surprising.

Wikipedia admins routinely display hostile, vengeful behavior, but their hostility is usually limited to the Internet. If any Wikipedia admin threatened you in person, you could probably just flick them away with a finger like you would a mosquito.

So a criminal profiler would be very surprised at being told that a Wikipedia admin is a suspected serial killer. That a Wikipedia admin would hire someone to commit murder on their behalf is slightly more plausible.

They would know they have the wrong guy, because almost all Wikipedia admins are holy and wise, prophets of the Lord Jimbo.

Depends. A sniper (like the DC sniper) could definitely be a Wikipedia admin. A strangler, I would think they have the wrong guy.

    yeah they would.

serial killers usually bend low and stay unnoticed by general public. they tend to get average jobs that don't attract attention.

wiki admin.... hnmmm... im not too familiar with what he/she does, but i guess, since wikipedia is so popular and what not, that the person is well known and probably does a lot of conversing on a daily basis. if this is true, then the theory of serial killers being your average blue-collared worker might be changed.
