On a lark, I decided to put this one webpage I haven't yet published through the W3 validator. I closed one tag I had inadvertently left open and went from 380 errors to just two, one of them being ≈ is supposedly an undefined character entity. I've tried the webpage on a few different Web browsers and they all show the symbol correctly. What's going on here?

Does your answer change depending on whether you believe that only a single timeline exists or that all possible timelines exist in parallel, even if there is no direct way to jump between parallel timelines?

Like if you're in captivity and you get freed under questionable circumstances?

A friend of a Facebook friend shared the following status from a Marine vet:

Sometimes when I look at porn in Firefox, the ICSPA screen comes up and I can't close it except by quitting Firefox from the Task Manager and then restarting Firefox a couple of times until it comes to the screen where it asks if I want to recover the previous session, so then I say no.

I haven't noticed any of my files being encrypted like the Firefox screen claims.

Or on Person of Interest, Carter was busted down from Detective to Officer? It's fictional, but I expect some semblance of realism.

For example, my cousin Jim. We suspected he's gay since he was a kid. He says he wasn't discharged for being gay, but he only served two years. Now he works at a design firm and has decent health care through that employer. If he didn't have that, would he be covered through the VA?

As opposed to a condition that is necessary but not sufficient.

As an exponent in a prime factorization, 1 is generally not written.

For a square root, the 2 is not written in the radical (except of course for sqrt(2)).

Is there something similar with 3?

Do they sit around the hospital waiting for the next call, or do they drive the ambulance aimlessly through town like in that episode of Scrubs Dr. Cox rode with Molly Shannon?
