Should Phillip Hughes tour New Zealand after two great knocks?

Hughes was in a form slump. Rumours were being dropped from the NSW Team. But he has gotten rid of his old manager, and has posted 2 big scores of i think 142 and 192. Should this secure him a spot for the New Zealand tour, maybe even being part of the starting 11?

Update:

What and do you think marcus north could possibly be dropped, moving watson down the order, making way for hughes?

Does he know where his off stump is? Can he play the short ball?

If the answer is no to either of these Qs, he shouldn't tour NZ....these was the fundamental problems that he was dropped for. Besides Watson/Katich are much better players.

I think Hughes should be in the tour sqaud, but how is he going to play a game? Unless Katich or Watson suffer an injury or are being rested there is no way Hughes is going to play a match for Australia.

No, I'm of the belief he needs more time in state cricket to learn his own game. He consistently stumbles when recalled to the top level. Make no mistake, Phil Hughes is a future opening bat for Australia, just not yet.

its really unfortunate for hughes that watson and katich have been successful this summer because even 2 very good innings wont allow hughes to make the starting 11 opening unless watson and katich have a few failures.

No. If one of the Australian top order gets injured when in New Zealand, then he should go across.

@ **Shiva fan** No one cares about indian cricket either.....

To answer your question, Hughes should tour NZ, he has so much potential, i have no doubt he's going to be a regular in the Australian side within the next year or two.

On form he should but also on form there are others who shouldn't. The selectors won't do anything.
