British Passport question?
I am applying for a j1 visa to work in america over the summer and am being asked for the passport issue place. My passport say IPS under the authority. I am from scotland so think that my passport would have been processed in London, is this right? Does anyone know if i put IPS or London as place of issue? I have already put UK as the country.
Thanks in advance

Based on FAQ site of the U.S. Embassy in London:
Q:— It is asking for the city in which my passport was issued. I have no idea.
A:— UK Passport holders may simply state “UK Passport Agency”. If an Embassy in a foreign country issued the passport, they should give the location of that Embassy.
The application form is designed to be used all over the world. I [as a German] would need to enter the city which has issued my passport. We Germans are registered, however not centralized as your Government plans to do, but at the individual place of residence [and we can get our passports without needing interviews].
