Anyone here fish in Illinois?
If so what areas do you like to fish and what do you fish for?
I fish Illinois quit a bit im just seeing what places other people fish and what they fish for.
Ive caught several big flatheads, and tones of channel and bullheads. I have caught an occasional blue cat sometimes too.
im plenty experienced as a fisherman, i just wanted to hear some feedback on other Illinois fishing spots and fisherman.

yeah i fish in illinois. here's the hook-up ---the illinois river can be a hot spot for big catfish and carp if you like to catch big fish, but i like fishing for bass and small farm ponds are hard to beat for action. ponds are often loaded with bass and crappie and bluegill that are more than willing to bite and have almost never if ever seen an artificial lure! Give a pond a shot!
edit: well if u like crappie and are down in southern il., i really like crab orchard and rend lakes. they have some awesome spring crappie fishing. other than pond bassin', my fav is fishing giant carp trapped in oxbow lakes off the illinois river. man those things get huge! hook up to one of those and HOLD ON! lol
