  • T/C Triumph bullet drop?

I dont have a lot of time to go out and do the testing myself due to my job so this is why i do not know myself. I have the T/C Triumph and was wanting to know what the bullet drop is using 100 grains Pyrodex and a 250 shockwave. I have Nikon Omega scope with BDC and want to know what the BDC marks mean with my load above. I mean how to calibrate my load to the BDC.

If you got a T/C Triumph let me know what load is most accurate with yours. Even better if you shoot with my same set up what is the BDC drop points with your reticle.

    thanks

I have looked and looked but cannot find the weight on the Sako A7 Tecomate stainless compared to Sako 85 synthetic stainless. Not the Finn light. Also the regular A7 stainless weight would be nice to know as well. 300 wsm models.

If you have one of these rifles id like to have some feedback on what you think of them.

  • Coyote Hunting Centerfire Rifle?

what do you experienced coyote hunters use for a rifle when hunting coyotes? Im looking to get a new coyote rife but not sure what brand to get. I wont buy a remington because im not a fan. I dont want to really spend over $500. Im a big fan of savage and may go with savage but have also been looking at marlin xs7 nd t/c venture rifle and options as well as weatherby vanguard. Savage edge/axis im not sure about and think the stock on it looks goofy but like the price. Are internal loading rifles good like the savage stevens? you know like without a replaceable magazine or hinge floorplate. as a staniless option marlin xs7 and savage axis/edge are the best value possibly.i will either pick a 243 or a 22-250.0-300 most likely my range to shoot maybe 400 most.

  • Does anyone have experience with Mosin Nagant after market stocks?

I have read many reviews on the ATI stocks having warped forends. Maybe they have fixed these problems by now. I seen BOYD makes wood stocks for them too. Are there any other monte carlo or other stocks being made for these rifles other than ATI and BOYD? I got more than one Mosin and one is going to be a project gun. So far Rock Solid brand scope mounts seem to be the strongest looking scope mount for them i have seen. If you know of a better one besides a mount that free hangs unsupported over the bolt let me know as well. So far Rock Solid mount looks the best though.

  • what is the best outboard motors for the money as of now 25hp and under?

I plan to put on a jon boat. Are the new outboards all they are cracked up to be or am i better off looking for used 2 strokes? I know that the Suzuki oil injected 2 strokes were one of the best ever made in making power. Im looking to get a outboard possibly a 25 hp and another 5hp-10hp for a smaller jon.

    thanks

  • What factory ammo does the Savage 110 actions in 30-06 rifles seem to like?

I have the Savage 116 with accutriger.I know all guns have their own preference on ammo, but i figure maybe there is a chance that maybe most savage rifle might prefere a particular brand consistantly. I plan on trying several brands, but if i can get a consistant answer on a brand in particular, it might save me money and ammo isnt cheap. I want to try to keep it with 180 grain bullets for elk and bigger animals, but if you have success with another grain Id like to hear about it. I do not reload yet but will in future and am saving my brass. So far i have only tries cheap winchesters in gray box 180 grains. baseball sized groups. I have a lead sled gun rest but i didnt have weight in it and it was moving to much. I have a burris black diamond scope. So far i really like the scope.Nice clarity.

  • What Rifled Shotguns on the Market are most accurate these days?

Im looking to get a new rifled slug gun, but not sure what to get. I personaly think some brands like Remington are being cheapened up to much. I think their quality is going down hill in some areas. I did like their older wingmasters though and have thought about looking for a used one and getting a hastings barrel for it. I kind of like the looks of the Savage bolt action slug guns, especially thier new 220 model in 20 gauge.. I seem to get mixed reviews on all the brands i look at though. Please only answer if you are experience with rifled slug guns. Ifyou are experienced, tell me what type of groups you got at what yardages and what ammo? Il pretty much know if its a bogun answer, so be real.Im not looking for a single shot like the H&R although I hear good things. PUMP,Bolt Action. or Semi-Auto is what i will consider. You do loose some power with a Semi-Auto though.

    thanks

  • Need firing pin for a Springfield Jr. Model 50 22lr rifle?

Anyone know where i might be able to find a firing pin for a Springfield Jr Model 50. Its a 22lr bolt action single shot.It says springfield arms made in Chicopee Falls ,Mass. USA on it but ive read its not really made by Sringfield but more likely made by Stevens. I believe this gun is from the 1920s-1940s time period. Its all here but a firing pin.

  • Turret vs Progressive vs Single stage reloading presses?

What are pros and cons of each? Would mainly reload for rifle calibers such as 30-06 and 300 win mag. May reload for handgun in future but my focus right now is for centerfire rifle. I just want to taylor my loads to get great accuracy for hunting.

    thanks

  • Caught a fish in Indiana last spring at Solomonie Lake, dont know what it was?

Me and my GF brother went fishing last spring at Solomonie Lake and caught these fish below the dam that were definitely carp/carp sucker family. We caught them on nightcrawler. They looked like a chunkier version of a creek chub but the head to gills had a redish pink tint to it, and the rest of the body looked like creek chub colors. The head also had what looked like little spikes on it head.We caught 5+ of them. Ive seen a lot of carp species but this was new to me. They looked like they would make good flathead bait.

  • Raging Bull Revolvers?Anyone have anything good or bad to say about them?

Please only answer if you have expereince. Ive heard bad things about Taurus and have seen a lot of lemons with them. I wonder about their quality(not just the raging bull but all taurus guns). I saw a barrel blow right off one on youtube with factory loads. Taurus seems to have a lot of their revolvers out of time.I really like the looks of the Raging Bulls but am cautious about it.Im not to impressed with their customer service with my gf moms PT111 millinuim pro 9mm. She sent it to them 2 times 3 months wait both times and they didnt fix anything. A piece of the rail sheared off and all they did was reblue the area where the shinny sheared area was. That seems pretty crappy to me for customer service and quality control. Her gun did this with less that 20 rounds through it brand new.

Does anyone have anything good or bad to day about Taurus in general and what do you think about the Raging bull models?

  • Choosing a rifled slug shotgun?

In 12 gauge pump action, what brands are worth the money. Anyone have expereince with the newer Browning and Winchester pump action?I really like Ithaca but have a hard time getting myself to pay the price. I dont know why they sell so high. I saw and held the DSIII Ithaca and it was $1300,Why? Ive got mossbergs but no rifled barrel. I like the older Remingtons (870s)better than the newer ones. I feel they have been cheapened up.I havent shot a Benneli Nova but would like to know some feedback on it if you hunt with one with rifles barrel.I wont get a H&R Pardner Pump because im not supporting a China mad gun.I may just look for an older 870 used and buy a rifled barrel for it.

I really would like to hear about the Benneli Nova, the new brownings , and the new Winchester (with rifled barrel). Do you hunt with one and what do you think about them?
