I've had a Bushnell Yardage Pro for years. I have been very pleased -- excellent range finder.
For the 1000 yard models -- you'll pay about $300 to $350 or $400 for a good one.
The better brands of rangefinders are: 1) Bushnell, 2) Nikon, 3) Leupold, 4) Leica
If you want to spend more money, about $1000, there is Swarovski.
I would suggest one of the $300 to $400 models -- either the Nikon, Bushnell, or Leupold.
I've placed links to a few good ones below:

Good luck finding one that goes out to 1000 yds. I have a Bushnell 450 and on a good day, it might measure to 200 yds on a tree type target. The max range on all that I have seen is rated for a reflective target.
