Coyote Hunting Centerfire Rifle?

what do you experienced coyote hunters use for a rifle when hunting coyotes? Im looking to get a new coyote rife but not sure what brand to get. I wont buy a remington because im not a fan. I dont want to really spend over $500. Im a big fan of savage and may go with savage but have also been looking at marlin xs7 nd t/c venture rifle and options as well as weatherby vanguard. Savage edge/axis im not sure about and think the stock on it looks goofy but like the price. Are internal loading rifles good like the savage stevens? you know like without a replaceable magazine or hinge floorplate. as a staniless option marlin xs7 and savage axis/edge are the best value possibly.i will either pick a 243 or a 22-250.0-300 most likely my range to shoot maybe 400 most.

I'd go with the Savage. One they are great guns. Two if shooting varmints really gets good to ya. A few years from now you might well burn the throat out of that barrel. With a savage for the price of a go and no-go gauge plus a wrench. You can change a barrel out yourself.

some human beings ought to snort on the respond, yet a .357 magnum rifle, which may additionally shoot .38 particular, could be used for small recreation and deer. The .38--massive-bored because it somewhat is--doesan't have the marvel that a intense speed .22 centerfire rifle has---so it may no longer blow a small animal to bits. The .357 magnum could be used for deer. in spite of the undeniable fact that it is actual no longer sensible till you probably did all your searching in thickets. My advice may be a .22 rimfire rifle for starters. you're able to start up first by making use of working in the direction of to alter right into an honest shot. then you are able to use the rimfire rifle for searching rabbits and squirrels. A Ruger 10/22 or a Marlin form 60 are the two fairly priced. once you do get a centerfire rifle, a Savage Axis, a Stevens form 200, a Ruger American or a Marlin 336 may be stable possibilities. I frankly might lean in the direction of cartridges collectively with .270 Winchester, .308 Winchester, .30-30 Winchester, and doubtless .260 Remington.

the 22-250 is the round that I use for long range coyote hunting in a Ruger M-77 old style tang safety(have hit coyote's at 460 yards measured with a rangefinder), although the 243 with the lighter bullets does have an edge is wind bucking ability, but the choice is yours

If I could add one more caliber, a 25-06. If you ever decide to hunt any type of deer, or black bear, or caribou you can. If you go .243, you can still hunt deer, but no bears, and caribou will be harder.
