Why did the hosel on my club break?

The past two times i was at the driving range i broke two of my irons both times I hit the ball clean and the club head flew like 50 yards down the range. Both times the club broke right in the middle of the hosel or socket i'm not sure on the name but it broke where it is bart of the club head where the epoxy is. So why did this happen and can the club be fixed?

most of the time its not your fault at all, its just a defect in the club. This has happened to me once. the defect was that the metal on the hosel was thinner in one spot than the other. check it out on your broken club, that might be the problem.

Assuming the broken club is a driver, the section on the shaft basically above the hosel impacts at a teed up ball somewhat than the club face. The table certain weight of a golfing ball is sufficient to rigidity the tensile power of a graphite shaft. With a club head related on the very end of the club, it further will advance the momentum of a downswing. it quite is generally brought about by employing addressing the ball too close to to the physique and an incorrect swing airplane going returned. For an iron, a breakage would desire to be specially brought about by employing hitting the toe of the club right into a rather tricky floor interior the down swing. This generally occurs to a graphite shafted game progression iron. the clarification being that game progression irons have greater effective and wider club face section, wherein while it quite is swung at a particular velocity with basically its toe section hitting the outdoors, the tensile power of the shaft on the hosel is at its maximum vulnerable. it quite is generally brought about by employing using a non-custom geared up iron the place specific compensations (possibly as a results of shaft length and physique top no longer ideal) in a swing take place. additionally could be brought about by employing incorrect swing airplane.

Don't even attempt to fix them, it's time for a new iron set.
