Looking for a solution to keep my hanging plants attached to the roof of my porch?

They keep falling from the roof of my porch and hitting my various pets. One of them even got hit on the head and got a concussion. This was three weeks ago and he's still loopy! Any suggestions?

Update:

calli and kayak, that isn't funny. I take my pets very seriously. I'm gonna call the cops on you both!

Use elmers glue. If that doesn't work, take the plants down and hang them from your dong.

How in the world do you tell if a pet has a concussion? Did he used to play the piano with ease and now he can't even play Chopsticks? Oh well, just use I-bolts into the rafter tails of the soffit. They will hold a bundle of weight.

Set the plants on the floor and suspend the pets from the ceiling instead. Concussion problem solved plus the pets' droppings will fertilize the plants. And the dangling pets will be so entertaining. like a furry mobile.

You just need a wooden spar - fixed across the roof at two solid anchor points - a couple of long screws at either end should suffice. It`s only a half hour job with a handyman.
