Who was the first U.S. President to be born outside of the original thirteen states?

Lincoln, I believe. He was born in Kentucky.

Who had, until the birth of Dean Martin, had also distinguished himself as Americas most famous drunk..... 17 Lincoln was born 1809 in Kentucky which became the 15th state in 1792 but technically it could be argued Kt was part of Virginia at the time of revolution and part of the 13 colonies. Lincoln was born 1809 in old Kentuck. So I say Linclon born in Ol' Kentuck 1809 but it could be argued he was not born outside of what was the teritory of the original 13 colonies. Ky split off from from Ol Virginy to become a seperate state after the fact in 1792 but was part of the territory that declared independence.

Therefore, Lincoln was NOT born outside of the ORIGINAL 13 states!
