Question about breastmilk?

So I am pumping and storing milk for my 6 month old. Some days I only get about 4 oz of milk out and I'm not sure if it's okay to combine milk. If I have two frozen 4 oz bags of milk from different days are they okay to combine?

You can mix it if your gonna feed it to your baby and throw out what if any is left. But you cant put fresh milk on top of frozen milk and freeze it. They need to be stored separately. And dated.

Here is a link with info on storing breastmilk:

When I pump I combine the milk pumped from each breast. I don't think it's too much different if you combine it from a different day- are you meaning that you are going to USE the milk and are going to feed it to your baby and want to combine the two bags of milk? If so I don't see a problem. I would be careful with dates though... Your milk changes with your baby and if you have some pumped from a while ago it just may not mix well.

I would say if you combine two bags of frozen milk that are atleast within a few weeks of each other it should be fine.

*And the suggestion to give your baby formula is NOT good. That will only make your milk supply decrease and is NOT what's best for your baby.

Yes there is nothing wrong with combining milk from different days as long as they are both frozen. Don't combine fresh milk with frozen though.

i've got not individually tried it, and that i don't think of i might care to myself till it have been a real emergency. yet I remember analyzing a e book wherein there became a narrative some professor who dropped in on a student and she or he provided him coffee and he asked for creamer and she or he did not have any and she or he substituted breastmilk and he theory it became the main suitable coffee he had ever drank. Ick, i understand toddlers somewhat like it and that's quite candy, yet i became weaned some years in the past and that i don't think of i desire to return, yet although i do in comparison to popular milk the two. basically save finding the internet, i'm particular somebody accessible has tried it.

You shouldn't combined frozen breastmilk with fresh breastmilk. Also if you are going to freeze them if you keep the amount smaller the thaw faster when you are ready to use them...

From videos I have watched and books that I've read, it's not good to combine milks if you are ''low''. If you REALLY can't produce enough sometimes, it would be best to just give him/her formula that day in place of breast milk
