I HAVE A REALLY GOOD ANSWER FOR THIS ONE! lol. Though, I DO dislike Twilight to an extent unimaginable--mostly because I'm a writer and I hate how easy it was for her to sell her crap--I kind of understand it . . . If you try really, really hard to. Ok, here's a go. :)) If you're like me, you find that guys with a mysterious aura is attractive. At the beginning of Twilight we didn't know much about Edward and it made it fun. Because he was a mystery and all. I'm, personally, attracted to mystery. It's fun to take it, unwrap and decipher what's in it. But, that's just me. MAYBE that's why Bella liked him. Honestly, I think Edward was a little desperate. I think he DID think it was weird that he couldn't read her -- once again, mystery factor. Mystery is irresistable and I think that's what lured him in, not HER though, just the fact that he couldn't use his mind-reading skills on him. lol. So, mystery. NOTE: lots of people like to say, "Oh, Edward's perfect and he has no faults; it makes him the PERFECT character and therefore makes him flat and 2d and . . . etc." If he's so flawless why do people then like to complain about him being abusive?! Ever think of it like that? I stand neutral on the issue. I hate being one-sided. Though, I really hope this does not influence the writers' of tomorrow or other teen-wannabees. I want REAL lit. The kind that's good, good, good teen lit. LOL. Not that crap. You know, you should look up Lynsay Sands, she writes GOOD vamp/romance novels! And they're also hilarious! lol. I don't really care for Meyer. But all I can conclude to is that the mystery from both sides drew them together, but that wasn't reason to fall for each other. I think, if I were her, I wouldn't like how he took FOREVER to talk to her and then he was SO dang controlling! Ugh. --MP
