I have a 75 yr old friend. What might cause one eye to be bloody red? Not just your average bloodshot.?

    High blood pressure, popped vessel. It could be a number of things, usually not serious, but they should go to the doctor.

    When I was younger about 17 I was jumped and since then my left eye has solided red around the curna. In short my left eye has no white just solid red from a bleeding blood vessel or something like that my doctor says. I also have a (conjunctiva) pterygium in the same eye he says maybe from that as well as other things. I could have surgery on both but think its cool lol so I won't. I love my eye it's so cool......
