I just got my tongue pierced earlier this afternoon?
is it normal for a portion of the tip of my tongue to be completely numb? It hurts bad obviously and it is my second time getting it done, havent had it pierced in over 8 years.

I didnt feel anything besides pain and numbness for a couple days after. Think about this, you put a whole in your body (and part of it is gone now) and in that little bit of tissue, you have removed nerve cells, taste buds, etc. So yes it could stay numb for a while. Especially because this is the second time having it done.
