It's a lie ! The ins. co. and the GOP are scared sh*tless of the American people's desire to join the rest of the modern world in the 21st Century, already in progress !

Why do you ask “Why do Republicans say….”? I know of no Republicans who say “the people of America do not want a Health Care Plan.” That’s absolutely false.

The majority of Americans, whatever their political affiliations or persuasions, DO want health care reform. What they do NOT want is the kind of “reform” embodied in Obamacare. A significant majority (about 70 percent) of Americans want Obamacare put in the trash. Many of them want Congress to start over, but Obama says he wants to proceed with the existing legislation with some modifications. Unfortunately, our Constitution does not define or limit the ability of the president to rule by executive order. Once health care reform legislation is enacted, the president can then modify it to suit himself.

Clearly, many, even most, Americans do not trust President Obama to act in their best interests or abide by their wishes. The people do not want a single-payer health care system that would give the federal government de facto control of the entire system. They do not want illegal immigrants to receive subsidies for their health care premiums. And many of them are opposed to being forced to pay taxes to pay for health care insurance for others who may be able to afford their beer, cigarettes, wide-screen TVs and other “luxuries,” but cannot afford to pay for at least part of their own health care insurance.

Republicans do not comprise 70 percent of our eligible voters, so the anti-Obamacare sentiments are widely shared, not just by Republicans, but by Democrats, Independents, Libertarians and others.

President Obama routinely blasts insurers and the pharmaceutical companies. So why is his health care proposal mute of the law that prohibits government-run health care systems from negotiating lower prices for prescription drugs? Could it possibly be that the drug companies have been very generous in their support of Obama and his fellow Democrats?

True, America does want a better health care plan. However, the majority of Americans (you can check ANY poll anywhere for confirmation) do not want this bill that Obama and Reid have created.

There is no question Health Care needs Reform.

What the Dems propose is a bloated government bureaucracy, and they oppose cost saving measures.

Why? I'd say because making health care affordable would take away the impetus for a government takeover.

I am not a republican, but I will answer anyway.

Because the majority of Americans do not want a government take over of health care.

Reforms in some areas, yes. But not the take over that Obama and his criminal enterprise are pushing.

there is certainly room for reform. The Democrat proposals are terrible. Take a look at what the Republicans have proposed.

I haven't met anybody who does. And I don't want the government taking my money, forcing me to live with their health care, and then giving my money to you and other people.
