Jehovah witnesses??????????

Whoever told you this is just concerned about you. Many people interpret 2 John 9-11 to mean they should not allow Jehovah’s Witnesses (or Mormons, etc.) into their homes.

2 John 9-11: Anyone who goes too far and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God; the one who abides in the teaching, he has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house, and do not give him a greeting; for the one who gives him a greeting participates in his evil deeds. Jehovah’s Witnesses do preach “another gospel”—a “different Jesus.”

If you are not firmly, SOLIDLY grounded in your Christian faith and spirit-filled, then I agree with those who have warned you against allowing JW’s into your home. As Walter Martin once said, the average Jehovah’s Witness can make a doctrinal pretzel out of the average Christian in about 30 seconds. They are trained, week in and week out, to attack central doctrines of the Christian faith, and they are very good at what they do. If you are not firmly grounded, they will have you confused in minutes.

If you ARE firmly rooted in your faith, if you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and are spirit-filled, then I would say—by all means, invite them in and use the opportunity to witness to them about Jesus Christ. Give them your personal testimony, because it is one thing they can’t argue with—your own changed life as a direct result of your faith in Jesus.

Some background on the verses from 2 John is that in the early church, there were no church buildings. Christians met in their homes for worship and teaching. The verse refers to allowing false teachers a platform from which to teach their false doctrines (heresies). It really does not apply to allowing people from aberrant “Christian” sects to sit in your living room. If that were the case, you couldn’t allow any unsaved family members (or plumbers, electricians, etc.) into your home, either.

Before you open the door to them, however, I strongly suggest that you research their peculiar beliefs so you will be prepared.

JWs are extrmely indoctrinated. They have meetings 2x a week. They go over what they are told to learn not what is the truth. They are definitely NOT Christ-ians, they are a Cult, NOT a religion. Also, according to them I am of the devil since I am opposing them, so I must be proving them right?!

Jehovah God wanted us to use his name. Matthew 6:9, Jesus told us that we should pray: "Our Father in the heavens, let your NAME be SANCTIFIED." Also Isaiah 43:10 also brings out that Jehovah said, "You are my WITNESSES." God is a Title. Even with Arabs. A good dictionary will show you, “Allah” is a shortened form of the Arabic term meaning “the god", this is not a name. The title “God” is neither personal nor distinctive. In the Hebrew Scriptures the same word (ʼElo‧him′) is applied to Jehovah, the true God, and also to false gods. The Imperial Bible-Dictionary says: “It is everywhere a proper name, denoting the personal God and him only; whereas Elohim partakes more of the character of a common noun, denoting usually, indeed, but not necessarily nor uniformly, the Supreme. . . . The Hebrew may say the Elohim, the true God, in opposition to all false gods; but he never says the Jehovah, for Jehovah is the name of the true God only. He says again and again my God . . . ; but never my Jehovah, for when he says my God, he means Jehovah. He speaks of the God of Israel, but never of the Jehovah of Israel, for there is no other Jehovah. First ,who told you Not to open the door? Is that love or an act of kindness?

Jesus said that true christians will be recognized by their fruit, their love for one another. (John 13:35)By this all will know that YOU are my disciples, if YOU have love among yourselves

Who ever told you that; which do you think will be showing an act of kindness what that person says or what Jesus said?

IN these times we are living in it's true that we have to be very careful to whomever we open the door to, because a person who say's they are, may not be. So be careful about that anyway. However here is a good scripture to consider when someone comes to your door stating that they are a witness.

in your own bible.

Matthew 10:11“Into whatever city or village YOU enter, search out who in it is deserving, and stay there until YOU leave. 12 When YOU are entering into the house, greet the household; 13 and if the house is deserving, let the peace YOU wish it come upon it; but if it is not deserving, let the peace from YOU return upon YOU. 14 Wherever anyone does not take YOU in or listen to YOUR words, on going out of that house or that city shake the dust off YOUR feet. 15 Truly I say to YOU, It will be more endurable for the land of Sod′om and Go·mor′rah on Judgment Day than for that city

So consider, what group of people all over the world are going from house to house which is also fulfilling that scripture, and also consider what the what the witnesses are trying to do.

We are just trying to find discerning ones concerning the times we are living in. We take acceptance as well as rejection, though we prefer the fore. And as far as you opening the door let the person who told you that, not to open the door, but as for you, You can make up your own mind as to whether you will or not.

We are people just like you, If you see a little old lady, or child i would say its ok to open the door, if its a single person personating in a suit by themselves, ask to see their literature, the bible or talk through a window if you are concerned about safety, but for the most part you would be fine for true witnesses are harmless and are trying to love our neighbor as Jesus commanded at Mark 12:31.

Just remember, You will be judged the same way you judge people, If anything! You will find that they can teach you more about the bible in a shorter time then what you have learned in your whole life. In fact you will be able to make sound decisions better because of the understandings that God will grant you just by having a true heart. You have to be honest with yourself at all times in order to start understanding what you must do. If you lie to yourself, even just a little, then you may ruin your chances to come to know God. Just ask yourself this, say self! Why should God do anything for a person that would Lie to them-self, How do you trust a person like that. Be Honest. Will you do what Man (family and friends) tell you to do? Or will you do what God says to do? you will face this question someday in your life and it is no small decision, but you must decide. Pray for help, and I hope you will see, OK!

First of all You never said what church you go to but I respect that.

You were told that you're not allow to open door for Jehovah's Witnesses? And you don't think they're bad people?

Have you ask your own priest why he didn't want you to open the door for Jehovah's Witnesses because they speak the TRUTH?

Yes, Jehovah's Witnesses are good people and they obey Jehovah's words and Jesus' teaching.

You can give yourself a chance to listen to Jehovah's Witnesses yourself and you will be amazing they are telling you the TRUTH.

Like all religious groups, Jehovah's Witnesses have some members that cast their faith in a bad light, but the majority of them are good well meaning people.

We are Christians too. And we have plenty of reasons why we go house-to-house.

1. It is a commandment of Jesus when he was on earth. (Matthew 28:19-20, Matthew 10:11)

2. Jesus showed in his life the importance of preaching God's kingdom (Luke 4:43)

3. The early apostles did it too (Act 20:20)

4. Jesus preached the name of his Father (John 17:6, 26)

5. It is part of the sign told by Jesus (Matthew 24:14)

Christian, so this is what Jehovah's Witnesses study and apply in their lives, so no, they aren't bad.

Good for you to think for yourself. Next time talk to one and find out for yourself if we are bad or are we just following Jesus' commandment to preach.
