What is your biggest musical prejudice?

If the only thing you know about Mike Patton is that he was the guy who sang "that song, Epic" then chances are I think you're a sheltered, naive hobo.

Tom Waits has been putting out albums since 1973....why when I tell people about him, make references to him or have him on, do people look at me like I'm the weirdo who's the only one who's heard of "this guy"? Annoying...

When I ask you if you're a Pink Floyd fan, but all you know about is Dark Side, The Wall and Wish You Were Here, then don't tell me you're a Pink Floyd fan.

I won't continue a conversation with someone who, when asked what kind of music they listen to say; "Oh, you know, whatever's on the radio."

I refuse to willingly listen to Rap, Hip Hop, RnB, country, techno, Punk, soft Rock, Nu-Metal (Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Korn, etc) or anything overly pop related.

I hate it when people use the "Devil Horns" gesture while at mainstream rock concerts for bands such as Coldplay and Pink, etc. These bands aren't Hard Rock or Metal, so people have no excuse for displaying the "Devil Horns" gesture, they look like fools when they do it.

I hate it when people automatically and wrongly associate anything Metal related with "Screamo" or "Satanic". I don't mind people having personal tastes in music, but I can't help but get into an arguement or debate with people who stereotype about Metal. Just because Metal isn't accepted by the mainstream community, doesn't make it a lesser form of music, and this is coming from someone who doesn't like a lot of Metal, but Metal and Hard Rock are the only genres that I do listen to, even though I don't like much of it.

Anybody that tries to run down the old greats and make ridiculous statement's proclaiming the likes of Hendrix was rubbish ! . Totally uneducated and can not be treat seriously .

p.s My pet hate is anybody who tells me the Rolling Stones are past it . ( i am very biased in this aspect by the way lol) They are just plain MENTAL lol

I think that's silly, personally. I mean, most of my friends have way way different taste in music than me, they've never heard of the bands I like, they love Boys Like Girls and even Disney Pop. Whatever, they're good people.

There a some total assholes with great music taste, but I wouldn't wanna talk to them.

Anybody who doesn't like Death Metal (or any metal) because of the vocals is just ignorant.

I always argue with people who overrate Led Zeppelin.

There's more but that will do. I tend to get into lots of arguments about music because my tastes are so open-minded, I feel like if I don't like a band, it's because they don't deserve to be liked. It's egotistical maybe, but I'm usually right.

i don't know why human beings basically like one form of music, i can't tie myself to a minimum of one label for greater suitable than 5 minutes. I even have an eclectic flavor in music and prefer the two Rock (for it became into my first musical love) and RnB in bar context ecetera. i might say carry your self above it myself, my sister gets bored of teasing me while she realises i don't care. or do exactly an identical to her in case you think of it may be greater friendly. sturdy Luckos!
