Is it a good idea to join mint.com?
I recently joined mint.com a website that helps you with finances and budget. You have to enter your cred card information along with your bank account
login name and password. It has access to all your bank statements and all bank activity, but helps you with a budget and overspendning etc. It says it's completly safe but i've been thinking about all the things they now have access to and was wondering if it has more pros than cons or vice versa. Anyone have a mint.com account that has had trouble?

I actually heard about this website from "The Today Show" a few months ago and went to sign up as well. As soon as they wanted all of my bank info. and passwords, I decided NOT to use the website. I'll also be interested to know what other's think if they have used this website or not b/c I like the idea of it, but am weary to give out my information over the internet.

We've used it for over a year now with no problems at all. I believe they store your personal info -- CC numbers, bank account info-- inaccessible to people. Meaning that no one sees that info.
I suppose it's possible for the info to get hijacked like any other online service but we feel very comfortable with Mint.
At some point, you can't let fear hold you back from getting on with life. If you like the service Mint provides use it.
