If you are age 21 and over, I recommend The Funky Buddha Lounge (http://www.funkybuddha.com/ ) and Exedus II (http://www.exeduslounge.com/ ). Other top clubs that feature that music randomly (you might have to check the calendar for which day features what type of music): Crobar (http://www.crobar.com/ ), Vision (http://www.visionnightclub.com/ ), Ohm (http://ohmnightlife.com/ ), Rednofive (http://www.rednofive.com/ ). Of those bunch, I think Vision and Ohm are fun.

Otherwise, you might want to check out Leg Room (http://www.legroomchicago.com/ ), Skybar (http://www.skybar-chicago.com/ ), Sound Bar (http://sound-bar.com/ ), Transit (http://www.transitnightclubchicago.com/ ), and Spy Bar (http://www.spybarchicago.com/ ).

A really good source for R&B/Hip Hop spots, shows and events comes from the city's urban-contemporary radio stations.
