Which team will win a Super Bowl first? The San Diego Chargers or the Philadelphia Eagles? neither of them?

have never won a Super Bowl in their entire franchise's history, eventhough they have won championships during the Pre-Super Bowl era, before the Merge, but both of them have still yet to win their first Super Bowl. In my opinion, the Eagles and the Chargers are the biggest Post-Season, Playoff Chokers of the decade. More so I would have to say the Eagles, because the Chargers sucked in the first half of the 2000's decade, meanwhile the Eagles were in the playoffs, post-season 8 times out 10 years, since a decade is 10 years, making it to the NFC Championship game 5 times, winning it just once but choking in Super Bowl XXXIX against the Patriots.

Update:

Eventhough the Dallas Cowboys have been chokers with Tony Romo, but the reason why I'm only mentioning the Eagles and the Chargers is because they have never won a Super Bowl before, meanwhile the Cowboys have, yes I am completely aware of the fact that none of the current Cowboys players were on the team since they last won a Super Bowl. I'm only referring to teams that have never won the Big Game before.

Your "second most favorite team"? What are you, like 10-years old? Meaning if they HAD won a Super Bowl they WOULD be your favorite team? C'mon. As far as I am concerned you only have ONE favorite team. Hense the term FAVORITE. Sure you can like other teams, and feel good when they win. But not sure how you can jump from one bandwagon to the next. As far as the Chargers never winning a Super Bowl and being chokers...... I think they WILL win a Super Bowl sooner rather than later. And that should shut a lot of people up (including you). But there can be no denying that watching them lose in the playoffs for the last 4 seasons is pretty frustrating. It's as if they're figuring out new ways of disappointing their fans. Lost to the Patriots after going 14-2 with a #1 seed and homefield advantage, lost to the Patriots the following year in the AFC Championship, lost to the Steelers in the 2nd round of playoffs the year after that, and then handed the Jets their free trip to Indiannaplos this past season. SUCKS! But I will most definitely call the Colts and Cowboy chokers too. What else do you call a team that misses playoffs because the quarterback can't set up a winning field goal, or when the team sacrafices a perfect season to keep their starters healthy and then loses in the Super Bowl? Oh and by the way.......who did the Colts lose to in the playoffs the two seasons leading up to their most recent Super Bowl run? SAN DIEGO! Makes you wonder if they would have made it to the Super Bowl had been the Bolts and the Colts instead of the Colts and the Jets in the AFC Championship!

  • San Diego Chargers. They still have the coaching and talent, despite what some people may tell you. They are also in a division that is pretty much there's for the taking at the moment, and they look likely to continue to dominate. The Eagles have the Cowboys and Giants to compete with, and have a few offensive issues to overcome.

    San Diego without even thinking.

After thinking, I'll add that Rivers is just getting started and has played some of his best ball with mediocre-to-lousyl running attacks the last 2 years. If he adds a top tier receiver to Gates and Jackson, the great defense will take care of the rest. I bet $100 they emptied their backfield in anticipation of something else---Thomas Jones is already available and we haven't even begun...

Philly needs to add Boldin and/or Peppers (JP alone won't do it). There's always a hole, and McCoy won't fill it. Seldom do you see a first rounder take that little an opportunity of an injury like he did after Westbrook's annual bow-out. FTR:

    Age of impact players: SD

    Division weakness: SD

    Home field advantage: PHI

    QB: SD

RB: SD would really have to do a bad job here, but it's *PUSH* until they replace LT/Sproles

    WR/TE: SD

    OL: SD

    DL: PHI

    LB: SD

    DB: PHI

    ST: PHI

    Coach: PHI

Basically San Diego has both the better team and nobody to threaten them if they do only win 9-10. Add McNabb's aging to the equation and you end up with Philly's chance *only* being higher if Rivers retires a non-champion---that would mean Philly gets a major head start in rebuilding.

Sand Diego for sure. It will be before Antonio Gates retires. Even losing LT they still have more talent than the Eagles. Also the Eagles seem to have a high possibility of losing Donovan McNabb. But I don't really care about either of these teams. Vikings for the SB in 2011!

I think the Chargers have a better chance than the Eagles. The Chargers have the personnel to get it done and should win the SB within the next 5 years.

Your right about them both choking in the big games. I'm going to say the Chargers will win one first because they are a younger team. The Eagles are falling apart and losing big name players to age and free-agency (McNabb, Westbrook) their best years are behind them for a while!!

McNabb is getting old and rusty and chargers are starting out young. I say Chargers... Eagles needs a new head coach not a coach who loses playoffs especially big games!
