Is it possible to create a triple stranded DNA molecule?

    Yes, it is possible. DNA has a third face which can allow hydrogen bonding for a third strand. This is referred to as Hoogsteen base pairing after the person who discovered it in the 1960's. You need to see a diagram to appreciate how it works.

    No. DNA is double stranded because the two strands have a complementary sequence to each other. You could not add a 3rd strand as it would have nothing to bind onto.
