i think ur thinking too much abt it and feeling insecure. if i was that gal i would have felt bad yet tht moment but would give it a try again or wait 4 the guy to respond. so i would suggest u to take initiative approach the gal and i think a friendly hello with a smile will do all the magic.be confident.

She may hesitate to speak to you next time, but once you start the conversation next time, she will be normal.
